Justice Roll: Faith & Community Voices Against Poverty:
In 2004, the Center for Community Change joined with the National Council of Churches to mobilize people of faith in coalition with grassroots community leaders to ensure that issues of poverty are not lost in this national election. This initiative, called Let Justice Roll, has drawn significant attention from all sides of the political spectrum. The effort has drawn together thousands of activists in faith since late summer in Washington, Oregon, New York, Minnesota, Massachusetts, New Mexico, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Organizers estimate that nearly 13,000 individuals have participated in Let Justice Roll activities, and local Let Justice Roll partners have registered more than 80,000 new voters.
