A large number of community-based organizations are already active in Iowa. Therefore, over the next few years the Rural Northwest Team’s task will be to provide the resources, training, and support necessary to build a statewide collaborative effort.

Although the Rural Northwest Team’s work in Iowa is in an early stage, CCC has a close relationship with Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement (Iowa CCI), and the Center has worked with a number of Iowa organizations through the National Campaign for Jobs and Income Support. In 2005, the Rural Northwest Team will help strengthen key groups and establish relationships with a larger number of organizations throughout Iowa.
