Organizer's Guide to
No Child Left Behind

Introduction

Since its passage in 2002, No Child Left Behind (NCLB) has dominated much of the dialogue about public education in America. Despite its visibility, it remains little understood, owing largely to its massive size (over 1000 pages) and complexity. As a result many education activists have felt ill-equipped to find handles for progressive reform within the law. To remedy this problem, the Center for Community Change has created an organizer’s guide to NCLB, explaining key topics within the law with community groups in mind. The list of topics is below.
